There are so many different styles of veils, and also a lot of different styles of brides. It can get really confusing for brides to find the perfect veil to fit their style. Veils often are seen as too traditional and modern brides sometimes don’t find them fitting in this day and age. But there are actually a lot of veil options that fit a modern bridal look stunningly!

Traditional Bride:
Keeping traditions in the family is really beautiful. What is more romantic then walking down the isle and have your husband lift the veil for the first kiss. Blusher veils are usually used in a more traditional setting. They can be created at short and long lengths, but give a really romantic feel when they are created in a longer length. When the soft tulle blusher is flipped back it gives a beautiful draped look in the back.

Romantic Bride:
When I think of a romantic bridal setting, my mind goes to Italy or Spain, the warm weather, gorgeous nature, incredible sunsets. surrounded by friends and family, and a stunning lace gown. Mantilla veils make your mind wander about the most romantic places in the world. Draped down from the top of the head, mantilla veils are adorned with the most stunning laces and beading. The type of veil that is passed down from generation to generation and stand the test of time.

Princess Bride:
I will be starting with the princess bridal look. The princess bride is a bride that loves her huge wedding gown with a gorgeous ballgown skirt made with stunning materials. A very regal look also needs a very regal veil. Although it can be very tempting to go all out with the veil, for ballgown dresses I usually advise a shorter veil design. Shorter veils do not overwhelm the bride, and show off the gorgeous features of the gown as well.

Bohemian Bride:
Effortless, flowy and edgy woman! I absolutely adore the modern bohemian bridal look. Inspired by nature and it’s surroundings the bohemian bridal look often is not combined with a veil. But a veil can actually add a stunning finishing touch to this effortless look. Instead of a traditional veil how about a knotted veil? The knot in the veil makes a veil feel much less traditional, especially combined with gorgeous lace textures and the softest tulle.

Vintage Bride:
The old world bride full of romance and gorgeous embellished gowns. Vintage bridal styles can be very diverse, from the regal 1920’s to a more modern vintage in the 1950’s. Both are very different. Art deco inspired vintage bridal styles are stunning when combined with gorgeous regal veils. Long or short designs, be sure to include stunning embroideries, beading, laces and crystal motifs. The juliet cap style veil is a beautiful option for a delicate vintage bridal look. From ankle length to cathedral length veils they are a stunning option for vintage inspired brides to be.

For the more retro style vintage brides, birdcage veils are a very popular options. Birdcage veils come in a lot of shapes and sizes, and give the look a flirty and fun finish. Don’t forget to adorn your birdcage veil with a stunning vintage inspired headpiece to completely finish the look!

Modern Minimalist Bride:

When you a bride that loves clean lines, no embellishment and a modern setting, why would you want a veil? A veil is not modern right? A veil can actually be very modern! Clean tulle veils can enhance the lines in the gown, and make your modern bridal gown stand out even more. I do advise a longer veil to give a stunning flow when moving.
